£1500 FOR WAR

FROM WOMEN’S INSTITUTES. [Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, December 12. The sum of £1,500 has been received by Hon. W, Nash as a straightout gift towards war expenses from the Dominion Federation of Women’s Institutes. “This welcome addition to funds needed for war purposes has been made possible by a decision of the Federation to forego its annual conference and pay the money thus saved into the War Expenses’ Account.” said the Minister, in thanking the donors for their generous action. “I think this is a particularly fine gesture, and one worthy of special commendation.”
