| N.Z, Tournament WEST COAST TEAM'S SUCCESS INVERCARGILL, August 24. The New Zealand basketball tournament was continued in Invercargill to-day in perfect weather. A highlight of the day was Southland’s meritorious win over Wellington by one goal. Results were:— First Grade. Canterbury 16 beat Hawke’s Bay 15. Southland 14 heat Wellington 13. Auckland 23 beat Otago 9. Canterbury 14 beat Otago 13. Southland 20 beat Hawke’s Bay 16. Wellington 23 beat Auckland 21. Second Grade. South Canterbury 23 beat Wairarapa 11. Southland Minor 12 beat Waikato 9. Manawatu 20 beat. Ashburton 13. Manawatu 17 beat Southland Minor 10. South Canterbury 25 beat Ashburton 20. Third Grade. West Coast 24 beat Otago Minor 9. Wanganui 25 beat Hokitika 6. Wanganui 23 beat Temuka 18. West Coast 24 beat Hokitika 8.
