Final election results show the Social Mass Party (Labour) have wot; nineteen additional seats, but the general Lne-up of Parliament is practically unchanged, indicating further trouble for the Hayashi Cabinet The state of parties- is as follows: — Minseito 179, iSeiyukai 175, Social Mass 37, Showhai (Government members) 19 otheis 46.
The strength of the parties in the Japanese House of Representat.ves be. fore the election was: —Se.vuhai 17! seats, Minseito 205, Showa-hai 19, Ko. kumin Dowei (new Japan National League) 15, Shahai Taishuto (Social Masses Party) 18, Independent 33.
