' The competition—A Noveltybrought forth many delicate and wonderful pieces of work. .Mrs Brock an Airs Raffles tied for first place. Mr Brock was present and gave a demonstration of folk dancing, which was greatly appreciated. The hostesses foi the evening were Mesdames Davies, Cockfield, McLeod and Raffles who served a flaiMfy supper and a splendid social evening was brought to a close with “Auld Lang Syne.’’ Children’s Ball: The teaching staff and School Committee are leaving nothing to chance, and this year’s ball promises to be outstanding in the |,ig hall at Denniston, on June 261 b.
