THE STAFF TALKS. RUGBY, April 16. Representatives of the Army, Naval and Air Force staffs of Belgium. France and Britain, who have met in Loudon for conversations, in pursuance of the agreement recently reached between their respective Governments, assmbled at the Admiralty, this afternoon, for the final discussion. The talks have now concluded. BRITISH S UPER • SHELL. LONDON, April 16. “The latest type of naval sixteenineh shells travel at a speed of about 1.200 miles an hour, and after passing through the twelve-inch armour plate ore recovered unbroken,” said Sir Robert Hadfield, at the annual meeting of Hadfields Limited, Sheffield. He added: One such shell in the region of the magazine would probably destroy an enemy battleship. Supplies are rapidly being turned out to meet the present urgent demand.
