£lOO DONATION. FOR CANTERBURY MEN. (Per Association) CHRISTCHURCH. April 17. Captain L. C. Gam’age, Overseas Director of the General Electric Company, England, announced at a dinner given in his honour to-night, that his Company would give £lOO towards the fund to send Canterbury representatives to the Olympic Games. He said English people had always been impressed with the wav the All Black teams had acquitted themselves overseas, and considered they had done much to restore an international spirit among sportsmen.- He hoped other British firms would follow the lead which li is firm was giving. The major part of the fund required for the three men, G. R. Giles, V. P. 8001, and ,N. 11. Fisher, has now been subscrioed.
