Eden (Lord Privy Seal) is scurrilously After declaring that there is an enormous difference between the British and flie Ttalian races, especially regarding civilisation, the “Tevcre” says that Italy will never be capable of introducing civilisation into Africa ■with the methods that were used in the year 1901 by Lord Roberts in th* Transvaal, which even school children know included the burning of fac tories. crops and flocks, and the sending of ■women and children to concentration camps. The paper reproduces a French cartoon on the South African War, showing British troops kicking and mishandling Av omen and children.
