The depth of the bar at high watei yesterday, was 21 feet 6 inches. The Kamona sails to-day with coal for Auckland. The Kanna saiTs to-day Atfitli coal, timber and general cargo for Miramar and Wellington. The Pukeko is due early from Gisborne to load coal for Waikokupu. The Kaitangata is due on Saturday from Wellington to load coal for Gis-' borne ancl Auckland. The Gabriella is due at Greymoutn to-day to load timber for Melbourne and Sydney . The Tees shouid leave Waitangi today for Lyttelton. The Titoki is due here on Saturday from Wanganui direct to load coal for Picton. The Regulus has left Wellington tor Nelson, Westport and Grey mouth* with general cargo-. After discharge she will load coal for Nelson. The Orepuki arrived yesterday morning, and sailed last night with coal for Wanganui. Information has been received by the Shaw, Savill ,and Albion Company that the old cargo steamer Matatua, which has been engaged in the New Zealand trade for over 20 years, has been sold. The names of the buyer* tre tr + . present unavailable. Within the last twelve months the company haa disposed of four large steamers, and their places in the New Zealand trade have been taken by the new motor !>hips Zclandic, Taranaki, Coptic, and Karamea. The Athenic, which fur many years was one of the most popir lat passenger liners, was sold to the Norwegians for whaling purposes and the Arawa and Mamari to German buyers.
