(Our Own Correspondent.) E REEFTON, December 13. E The monthly feeting of the Reef = ton District High School Committee = was held yesterday. Present: Messrs z W. B. Auld (chairman), Mori (secre- = tary), Patterson, Cleaver, Lawn. Apol- = Ogies were received from Messrs J. S Baird and D. Panckhurst. E The Headmaster’s report stated:— = Primary Department: Roll No., boys - 111: girls 98; total 209. Average, boys = 95.4; girls 81.2; total 176.7. : Secondary: Boys 37; girls 24; total ; 61; average attendance, boys 34.3, : girls 19.8, total 54.1. • The Dental report stated: Total op- : eratio-.is 208; attendances 110. New : patients 8, also noting that all eligible 2 pupils at Cronadun, and Rotokohu j had been charted, also that to Novem- ; her 30, Waiuta School had not a con- j venient room for a clinic and suggest- • ing that the school in the Grey X alley ; could be charted and worked in con- ; junction with the two schools referred j to. ■ The Waiuta School Committee wrote : stating that the room for the clinic . at Waiuta was ready, and as soon as : convenient the Dental Nurse could commence her duties. It was resolved that Mr D. Panckhurst be asked to submit an estimate for a tennis court. That Mrs Dowell, Hokitika, be granted the same privileges as last year in regard to an ice eream stall at Hokitika. That the usual arrangements for the annual school picnic be left in the hands of the Secretary. That the statement of accounts in regard to the establishment of the dental clinic be adopted. The matter of dental service to the Ikamatua School was referred to the Dental Committee. That the sum of £5 be drawn from the P.O. Savings 1 Bank and placed at the disposal of the ■ Dental Committee. That arrangements be made with the caretaker for scrub- ’ bing and disinfecting the school buildings during tiie holidays. Before the close of the meeting the Chairman expressed the season’s greet- ' ings to all members present. The sale of privileges in connection with the forthcoming meetings of the Reefton Jockey Club and Inangahua 1 Trotting Club was held by Messrs Mc--1 Mahon and Lee, when the following prices were realised:—Reefton Jockey • Club: Nos. 1 and 2 Publican’s Booth, 1 Mr R. Hindmarsh, £74; sweets stall, K Mr W. Morris. £2 15/-; refreshment , rooms, Xlr C. Nevin, £2O; Inangahua ’ Trotting Club: No. 1 and 2 publicans’ booths were passed in at £27; sweets ! stall, Airs Downie, £1 5/-; refreshment room, Mrs (’hottie, £2; cards of races, 5 Inangahua. Tinies, £l9. 1 INANGAHUA CRICKET SUB ASSOCIATION. A gneral meeting of delegates was t held at Xlawheraiti on Wednesday. 12th inst. Present: Xfessrs E. Williams , (chair). J. Warren. J. Fitzgerald, T. Anisy, G. W. Griffin, and E. Hayes. e It was decided to send a combined Waiuta-Rcefton team to Greymouth to 3 play a representative senio r team on Sunday, 16th December. The competi lion game Waiuta v Totara Flat, set - down to be played next Sunday, will be gone on with. On the motion of Air J. Fitzgerald. s< eonded by Air G. W. Griffin, it wa decided that all meetings, with the exception of the annual general meeting b e h( hl at Reefton. A levy of one guinea is to be imposed upon each of the affiliated clubs: each club must also register its players with the Sub Association as early as possible. With regard to transfer of players, it was decided, on the motion of Xle srs Fitzgerald and Griffin, that no player shall be allowed t 0 transfer from one club t.o another unless he is a financial member of the first (dub. Re abandoned matches: The Secretary was instructed to obtain information on the subject, and report to next meeting. It was resolved to thank Air C. Pratt for donation of trophy for the competition.
