TOWING A CAR.

WARNING SIGN REQUIRED. INVERCARGILL, December 12. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Mr G. Cruickshank, S.M., suggested that motor regulations should provide for the marking of a ear which was towing another. He was of the opinion that a car which was towing an cthre should have a small red flag, or some other distinguishing sign attached to the bonnet and a tripole of light at night. This suggestion was made after the Magistrate had delivered his judgment in a motor collision case, in which the driver of the first car and also the driver of the car that was being towed, were charged with dangerous driving. A motor cyclist approaching the two vehicles had turned in behind the first car, and had crashed into the second one, not being aware of its presence.
