Renewed efforts to release the Celtic failed, and further atternp s were suspended until morning, owing t 0 the danger of working in the darkness. A Lloyd’s message from Queens town states that the position is ex posed and serious, though the ship is resting easy. The Celtic is heavily loaded, and the heavy swell following the gale makes loading difficult. The mails were taken off to-night. It is stated that the continuance of the present calm is most essential to make salvage successful.
