Mr R. Armstrong, who has been cor fined to his bed with an attack . quinsy, i s progressing favourably. Mr T. Pope, who is an inmate c ihe Grey River Hospital, is still in serious condition.

Mr J. Coppersmith, who is an i mate of the Grey River Hospital, is . i critical condition.

The Tennis Club were unable t open their court during the week-cm owing to the bad weather. The opci ing has been postponed until next Sri urday. During last week some of th players had a working bee on the ne court which was commenced some tin ago, the work having been hold u owing to lack of funds. On Wudno day last a social evening in aid of tl tennis Club was held in the Gyn nasium, the function being largely a tended.

The usual Saturday night old-tin dance was hold in the Miners’ Hal and was well attended. Although is late in the season, such functions ai v< ry popular.
