McAllister knocks out TAYLOR. WELLINGTON, December 10. Tn the tenth round of a fifteen rounds contest to-night, Billy McAllister, bantamweight champion of Australia, knocked out Frank Taylor, of Auckland. The bout was marked'by much holding by Taylor? DONOVAN BEATS COTTERILL. NEW PLYMOUTH. December 10. T. Donovan (Waitara) defeated J. Cotterill (Petone) on a technical knock-out in the third round to-night, of a scheduled fifteefi rounds bout. The fight opened promisingly. Cofferill showing cleverness, but Donovan fought like a tiger. Twice he had Cotterill down for nine in the third round, and when the Petone man went down again, the referee stopped the fight. Both men were fighting their first professional bout.
