FATAL BURNS. AUCKLAND, December 10. John Sanderson died last night from’ burns and other injuries, resulting from a petrol explosion on the launch Huana, at Nelson Street wharf on Thursday. COLLAPSED WHILE VISITING HOSPITAL. AUCKLAND, December 10. While visiting a patient yesterday afternoon, Mrs Mary Ratcliffe, 71, of 34 Wynyard Road, .Mount Eden, collapsed at the Auckland Hospital, and died an hour later. CYCLIST INJURED. CHRISTCHURCH, December 10. While riding a motor cycle on Saturday evening, S. Thackwell, single, collided with a motor car, and was taken to the hospital unconscious, with head wounds. His condition today was improving. BODY RECOVERED. NEW PLYMOUTH December 10. The body of Haskell, who was drowned on Saturday afternoon, was recovered this afternoon on the beach near the Tehcnui River. AUCKLAND, December 8. A slightly built man, aged about 3C years, was knocked down by a motor car on Panmure Road, Ellerslie, at a quarter-past nine last evening. He died in the Auckland Hospital half an-liour later from head injuries. He was rushed to the hospital by the driver of the motor-car, Gage Brown, of Bracken Avenue. Ellerslie. AUCKLAND. December 8. A car owned by Mrs E. Beart, of Auckland, and driven by A. Driscoll, an Auckland jockey, bound for the Taumarunui races, capsized near Huntly yesterday afternoon through skid ding. Driscoll was taken to the Huntly Hospital with concussion and injur ietf to the head. Beart and other passengers escaped lightly. CHRISTCHURCH, December 8. As the result of a collision between a tramcar and motor-cycle with sidechair, Police Constable George Mur ray was admitted to the hospital last night suffering from severe injuries to the head and compound fracture of the leg. Murray was riding a motorcycle and he had in the side chair another constable, who escaped wth minor injuries.
