THE WEATHER.

WELLINGTON, December 7. The Dominion Meteorologist’s forecast is as follows:—An anti-cyclone is still centred east of East Cape. A slight low pressure wave is crossing the South Island, and a depression is still located in the eastern Tasman. Moderate to strong north-east to north winds, but a change to westerlies gradually working up from the south. Seas rather rough in places south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint; elsewhere smooth to moderate. North to west winds in the eastern Tasman Sea; moderate in the northern portion and fresh to strong in the southern portion, with generally moderate seas. Weather fine and warm at first, but a change to cooler conditions with scattered showers, and possibly thunder, advancing from the south.
