iSlaughter Arabs IN LIBYAN DESERT. LONDON, February 28. The Daily Mail’s Rome correspondent says: Following a series of strenuous operations, Italian colonitl troops extended the occupation of Cyrenaica to the edge of the Libyan desert, and permanently garrisoned two oases controlling caravan routes.
Well-armed Arabs defended Tegrift to the last gasp, and elsewhere a thousand horsemen resisted the Italians for several hours, leaving three hundred dead. The total killed was five hundred. Many prisoners and much booty were captured. The Italians losfc 210 killed and wounded.
