The issue of the Nicaraguan situation is further complicated by reports that President Diaz of Nicaragua will shortly resign on the ground that the United States Has not acocrded him the support he expected, and that the present position is futile and undignified.
President Machido, of Cuba, declared to-day, that it was not within the province of the conference to assume the role of tribunal to judge the Nicaraguan problem, or the general policy of the United States. eßpbrts from Mexico state that the Mexican dclagation may nevertheless bring up the question. “PROTECTING RIGHTS AND INTERESTS ’ YANKEES TiOLE AT PAN-AMERI-CAN CONFERENCE.
