A RECORD FAST.
BY A GERMAN. OVER SIX WEEKS. BERLIN, March 29. A world’s record fast of furty-iou: days was established by the German champion named Jolly, while locked up in a glass case. ' It is estimated that three hnndre' thousand visited him, from which he earned five thousand sterling. Jolly wasj-. accorded a great ovation as he left the glass cage. He was then taken to clinic, where scientists diagnosed the reaction of fasting on Hit stomach.
