SPIRITIST “BUNK.”
ANANTAS REDIVIVT’S. A “COPY’RIGHT” CASE. LONDON. Mareh 28. Spiritualists crowded the Chancery Court, in which Mr Justice Eve heard a motion raising the novel point of copyright in spirit communication. Miss Cummins, the daughter of a Court physician, described as an automatic medium, sought. to restrain Bligh Bond, a mystic worker of world wide reputation, from publishing the “Chronicles of Sleophas.” Both claimed the authorship of the script, which purported to be a continuation of the Acts of the Apostles. Miss Cummins claims that she produced the “chronicle” in a trance. Bond asserts that his hand rested on Miss Cummins, therefore the. chronicle was the result of his psychic co-operation. Counsel explained that the first article was an interesting addition to the storv of Ananias and Saphira. Justice Eve asked whether the automatic writing was English or Greek and was informed that the chapter concerning Ananias was in Cummins’ handwriting. The case was adjourn cd.
