MATINEE AT 2.30. This afternoon at 2.30 Pollard’s will ! present a most interesting programme for children and adults, when will be shown the farce comedy de luxe, “The Girl in the Taxi.” This breezy comedy depicts the adventures of a young man who belies his father’s convictions that he is a mollycoddle. The . scene where the policeman quite unex- | pectedly catches his wife mingling with a group of gay rounders is worth its weight in gold. To-dt ' also in- I eludes the 9th episode ol’ xiiddcn Dangers,’’ the final football match for the “Scddon Shield,” Nelson versus Buller, and the Parliamentary tour of the South Sea Islands. The same programme will Re offered to-night by Pollards. SUNDAY. To-morrew (Sunday) Pollard’s will present a complete change of pro-

gramme, when v. ill be offered, “The Dream Cheater,” starring J. Warren Kerrigan and Fritzl Brunette. The romance of a modern Aladdin from the famous French novel, “The Magic Skin,” by Honore de Balsac. In this enchanted drama Kerrigan departs front his usual delineation of light roles, and plays the most dramatic par’ of his career. He is cast as a peniless young aristocrat, who becomes involved in the work of a radical band of idlers. Kerrigan conies into possession of a magic skin, which like Aladdin’s lamp brings to its owner any wish. The circumstances arising from the obsession of the skin, lend a most fascinating uncertainty to the denounement. To-morrow’s programme also includes l‘athe Gazo’L • , ''ml a comedy starring the screen favour.-. Harold Lloyd. BLACKBALL. To-morrow (Sunday) Pollard’s will screen at Mandi’s Hall, the powerful drama, “Pilgrim of the Night,” starring Ruby de Remer, also the big two reel Mermaid comedy, “Moonshine.”
