ANGLO-AUSTRALIAN AIR SERVICE A BIG PROJECT. ("Rcc January 18, at 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 17. The Daily News states that the Australian and Indian Governments are pressing the British Government to establish an Imperial Air Service from England to Australia, via Malta, Egypt, India, and Singapore. It is expected that Britain will hand overlive or six airships, and also erect mooring masts along the route, leaving Australia and India to provide most of the working capital, and Australia also to build the housing sheds for the airships at the terminal. The Daily News predicts the service will be in operation by the end of this year.
