WILSON ANNOUNCES THE NEWS
(Ree. 'November 12, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, November 11
The United Press Washington correspondent reports: The news of the signing of the armistice was telephoned to President Wilson at White House from the State Department before it was announced to the newspaper correspondents. The officials of the various Government Departments remained at their desks, awaiting the news, which was conveyed to them immediately after Mr Wilson was notified.
