LLOYD GEORGE'S SPEECH. HIS GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.
Mr. Lloyd George said* that he appeared before the House with the most terrible responsibilities that could fall on the shoulders of any living man, as Chief Adviser of the Crown in the ' most gigantic war that the country had ever been engaged, a war upon the xesults of which its destiny depends. "It is the greatest war ever waged and tho burdens the heaviest evei cast on this or any other countrywhile the issues are the greatest thai ever attached to any conflict wherein humanity is involved. The responsibilities of the new Government hayc been suddenly accentuated by the de claration of the German Chancellor, The statement made by the latter ir the .Reichstag has been followed by a 2Cote presented to us by the Unitec States without comment.
