LONDON, December 1 8. .The completion of the German harvest reveals a serious situation. The potato crop is twenty million tons compared with fifty million tons in I The shortage equals five million tons of cereals. As it is certain that the harvest has increased by 3,500;---600 *ons. the deficit will be equivalent to 1,500,000 tons. The remains ot' the barley will be used instead of potatoes for bread-making.
