PROVISION FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE. /

DUNEDIN, June 14. It was stated at a meeting of the Patriotic Association to-day that the patriotic funds included £14,650 representing unconditional donations by the public. It, was resolved to set aside £13,000 for the maintenance and as I sistance of returned soldiers, sailors and their dependents; also dependents of those who may die on active service, or may die after they return to the Dominion as the- result of active service. The sum of £1000 was allocated for the purposes of local needs.
