SECOND DAY'S RESULTS. r BY TELEGRAPH — PEE. PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Dec. 30. The second day's races of the Auckland Trotting Club's summer meeting took place to-day in perfect weather. The totalisator registered £21,400, as against £17,985 for the same day last year. Results: — OAK HANDICAP (harness), of 100 soys; one mile and a half — 2— AUCKLAND GIRL (15 sec.) .. 1 It-blackthorn (4 sco) 2 11— LADY HEIRESS (13 sec.) .... 3 Also started: 12 — Rothschild Leo ; 7— - King of Diamonds, B— Marvin Downs, s—Sam5 — Sam Dillon, 6 — Dignity, S) — Fitzroy, 4 — Salvie Dash, 10 — Lelawn, 3— Doris Salisbury. Won easily all the way. Other well backed horses broke badly. Time— 4.o. TRAMWAY HANDICAP (harness), of 100 soys.; one mile.— I— WAVERLEY (9 . sec.) 1 13— LINOTYPE (11 sec.) 2 4— AUGUST CHILD (3 sec.) 3 Also started: 3 — Franzaine. Won easily by two lengths. Time — 2.24. SUMMER .CUP HANDICAP, of 350 soys. (harness) ;• two miles — 2— WALLACE WtiOD (8 sec.) .. 1 I— JEWEL CHIMES (6 sec.) 2 3--HARVEY HUON (10 sec.) .... 3 Also started: 4 — Stop It, s—Wallace5 — Wallace M., 6 — Clive. Jewel Chimes followed by Wallace Wood showed out in front' at the end of the first mile and fought the remainder of the distance for the supremacy. The favourite made the pace too hot early in the race and was tired half a mile from home, and-Wal-lace Wood had no great difficulty in getting the lead and winning by four lengths. Time — 4.39. CHRISTMAS HANDICAP (saddle), of 150 soys.; two miles — I— PRINCE RUFUS (9 sec.) .... 1 2— ANNOYED (13 sec.) 2 4— ST. RELLA (16 sec.) 3 Also started: Scotia 15 sec. Prince Rufus had command early in the race and won. as ho liked. Time — 4.43 1-5. EPSOM TROT HANDICAP (harness), of 150 soys.; two miles — S— HOVA (12 sec.)" 1 3— SYREN (20 see.) 2 2— GRAY W. Autocrat and Gray W. had charge for a time with Syren always handy. In the last half mile Hova came through very fast and won by half a length after a great struggle with Syren. The great lead which Lord John established curly in -the race was reduced in the last quarter by Walnut, but Lord John had sufficient left to win in a punishing finish by half a head. Time — 2.2(5.
