MESSAGE TO AUSTRALIAN CONs TINGENT. WELLINGTON, Oct. 6: The following is a copy of the telegram from the Governor of 'New Zealand to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia : — "Please convey the following message: — The New Zealand forces are looking forward to greeting their comrades from Australia, and being assqciated with them in - the present great Imperial undertaking. This Dominion gratefully recognises the valuable assistance already given to New Zealand by the Royal Australian navy in connection witih the operations in Samoa, and only regrets that itihas riot been possible for the meetiriig between the two contingents to take place at an earlier date. — Signed, Liverpool, Governor."
