SEVERAL CHANGES TO BE MADE (■Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 27. > ' It is reported that several important changes in connection with the gen eial staff arc likely to taJce place shortly and as has already been officially announced Colonel E. S. Heard, chief of the general staff, will be to '•England in July and it is stated that^GoloncJ E. W. C .Chaytor, officer commanding the Wellington military district with headquarters a Palmerson' Noith is to be~ promoted to the DornSmon 'headquarters, W-elington ; ihojigh' what office he is to fill has not beeri menfionedi It r is also, stated that Colonel Cha-v tor jis to be succeeded at Palmerston Noyth by Major Johnstone, an Imperial officer, who- is at present in New Zealand on furlough from India. , Colonel V. S. ; Smyth, officer commanding Canterbury .military district*, will be leaving for England shortly 1 on :six mbnths leave •of absence and while he is away his duties will be I carried on by Colonel R.
