. Hagerty 9.7, v Cook o-S. FIRST ROUN-D.^-This round was very 'eveniy contested.. Hajgrerty was the more aggressive, ' but Cook was very clever on his feet and used a straight left with some skill. '"■ SECOND ROUND— Cook r opened with a good left, but Hagerty evened with a right cross that made Cook give ground. Hagerty again connected with the right and getting to close quarters scored with both hands to h&. body. Cook iust broke in time to escape a vicious upper cut. • THIRD ROUND.— Cook scored a .good right tb the jaw,, and he also connected- with, the left, and escaped without a- return. Towards the end Hagerty -was after hitman and landed a. right cross— a beauty that made, Cook hang on for safety. FOURTH : ROUND.--Hagerty was soon busy and ■ smothering cleverly he got in clos^e and banged rights ' and lefts -to. the body. Cook broke
ground and countered cleverly with the left. Cook was doing most of the leading-. Hagerty -evidently waiting for an opening to finish with a knock out Cook was taking no risks and made the/ fight a long range one where his left was adding to his points. ■■■;.■' FIFTH ROUND.— Tkis was practically a repititrior 1 . of the fourth. Hagerty just missing with an upper, cut. He was still scoring in the infighting. SIXTH ROUND.— Hagerty made the pace much warmer. He landed with his. favourite right cross. Gook still scored frecmenc-ly with the left. Towards the end Hagerty got a Tight on -to "the body that made Cook cling for safety. SEVENTH 'ROUND.— Gook. rn^sed with a left itppercut, hut still continu <-d with lefts varied by an occasional rights to the ribs';: and. Hagerty -found some difficulty in ..gettraJßr to close quarters. EIGHTH ROUND.— HageTty started hot foot after his man and getting dose iv peppered him _ abou the ribs. Cook aanced away but Hagerty still kept worrying .him. C^ok landed.** beautiful left and Hagerty stopped and smothered. V.tnding- rm .available place to hit Cook tried the "rabbit killing" punch ni> Hagerty's neck, with no appreciable result. ROUND FlFTEEN.— Hagerty went in to finish the fignt it^ possible, but although the scored several limes his opponent was too wary.
