CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 23. The New Brighton Trotting Club's Spring Meeting was concluded in fins but cold weather, the truck being in much better condition than on Thursday. Tho totalisator investments were j£9.068, as against ;£G,---074 on the second day last year. The results are : —
Adv.m.* Handicap., of 60 soys: onemile and a-half — Kini, 6sec, 1 ; Lady Per-alta, 7scc. 2; Dollar Princess, 8 sec, 3. Six others started. Won by a. length. Time — 3min 49 3-5 sec.
Ladies Bracelet Handicap, of 40 soys ; one .mile — Maid of the Forest lO.sec, 1 ; Francita, Bs'cc, 2; Posie, 12scc, 3. Thirteen others started. Won by half a length. Time — 2m in 32 4-5 see.
Mace Memorial Handicap, of 130 soys ; two miles— lmperial Po!ly.7scc, 1 • St. Surt-hin scr, 2. Electrocute.. 6 sec, 3. Eight ethers started. . Won by a length. Time — 4m in 52 2-sscc.
Spring Handicap, *cf 100 soys ; three mik's — Betel Nut, 4 sec, 1 ; Variation, 9sec, 2; Yankep Lass, 13r.ee, 3. Twelve others started. Won easily by twelve lengths. Time — 7>n_in 28r.e.c.
Brighton Handicap, of 70 soys ; one mile a.nd a-half — Kalgoorlis, 5 sec, 1, Star-child, 5 sec, 2; Wild Arab.. 6 sec. 3. Eight others started. Won by eight, lengths. Time — 3. imin 36 2-5 sec.
