A deputation of members of the Feathoirston County Council and Martimibbrough Town Board was >'ntToduccd by Mr W. C. Buchanan, "M.P *o the Minister of Public Works on Saturday (afternoon. The object was to ask that the Feathors'on to "M.artinborough railway 'b 0 included in the Railways -AutlDorisatian Bill,, which it was understood would 'be land 'before Parliiamxint' this sessions Assistance was asked from thei Government for the completion, of the bridge which was the jwaiai outlet for Mar•tijiib'oroußh'.
The Minister replied tlia,' the Gofvernment was strictly limited as to Tile amount of imoney available' for railway construction^ He realised that th c district was an excellent one and capable of great development, but doubted very much whether any •branch of .^h;e railways would bo authorised' .this session. The matter would be placed 'before Cabinet, and it would receive th© same .consideration as others.
