CHURCH CONFERENCE.
NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 21.
The Archdeaconry of Taranaki tonight concluded a two days' conference on the lines of tha Church Congress conducted largely by laymen and presided over by Bishop Crossby. Papons were submitted by layman, and clergy on " Girls • Friendly Society," " Church of England Men's Society," " Lay 'Readers and Thcht Work," "Melanesian Mission," " Homo Mission." address by Rev. Hawkins on Maori Miission, which was followed by an address in Maori by Rev. Kapa, who was ordained at St. Mary's this mom-aig.
