IMPERIAL YEAR
GREAT EVENTS IN 1910-1911
Next year should be known as 'he Great Empire Year in Ihe history of Britain and her oversea Dominions. Three events of first rale importance will cause the children of the Empire to gather in the Motherland. They are : — The Coronation of King George V. The Third Imperial Conference. The Festival of Empire at 'the Crystal Palace. Anothr great event of historic importance, so far as Greymouth i s concerned, will be rthe Grand Imperial Fair, to be held in the Town Hall, on December Bth, 9th and lOth. Elaborate preparations are beingmade to" produce attractive representations of the various colonies, as -well as 'the Motherland.
The stalls, nine in number, will be replete with evry article mentiohable, both useful and ornamental. Among the many attractions the Pedlar's PaTade will perhaps take the first place, 50 children dressed in various characters taking part. Look out for the programme, from which full particulars may be obtained.
