MELBOURNE, Nov. 23,

Last n/i'ght a train wit-li twenty passengers aboard, was entering Spencer Street Yards, when it collided with a pilot engine. The latter and the front bogie of the train were derailed. Eight passengers received a bad shock, three requiring treatment. A portion of the goods train, near Mit'amo, left ■the rails and afterwards travelled a considerable distance. It badly damaged the line.
