A YOUTH WITH TWO WIVES.

WELLINGTON, Nov. 23.
: A youth named VViLUam Watk-iris, on a charge of bigamy and false declaration under <;he Marriage Act, cams before the Chief Justice to-day for sentence. His Honor could not see his way to grant probation. This was a serious thing for the. woman. The prisoner's \ character had not been good, and he had given way to drink. The sentence would be two years' imprisonment, to run concurrently with the sentence tdie prisoner was already serving for failing to 'find sureties to keep the peace towards the second woman h^ had married.
