WESTPORT, Nov. 23
The body of J. W. Mason, .solicitor last seen bathing in the Buller River on Tuesday night, was discovered abouc 4 o'clock to-day.
An inquest was held to-night; when a verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
It is surmised that the deceased was seized with cramp, and sank just where his body was ultimately recovered.
He was a very popular young fellow, who took an active leading part Tn local athletics and dramatic work.
