The Premier moved that -the whole of the amendments of the Legislative Council in the Gamine' Amendment Bill be disagreed with. He moved that the clause be struck
Sir Joseph Ward said that the system proposed in the clause had resulted in larger polls, as shown by the heavy poll in 1905, when 83.25 per cem of electors recorded their vote.
