That it is not a-t present intended to amend the terms on which a bonus of 3d per gallon, to encourage the production of kerosene oil, was offered in vhe Gazette on 10th November. STATE COAL MINE. That inquiries are being made into the allegations made in an article published in a •Ghrisitchurch paper, in regard to the state of affairs at the State Coal Mine; and if these should be found to have any foundation, the ma.ter would be dealt with, a^t an early date. -•„■.. . EMIGRATION. That the Government was unaware how .the misleading statements in regard to the emigrating of lads from England "o New Zealand, came to be circulated.The High Commissioner will be ■asked, if hehas mot already done so, to have the mis-statements contradicted.
