The Admiralty contemplate building a fleet of boats on the hydroplane principle. It is proposed to begin w ; >th a small type of vessel especially adapted for picket, duty and coast defence, and to work up to a larger size, which would be suitable for use a? destroyersand which would be capable of ca<rrying and launching aeroplanes at sea, and of being' utilised for scou'ej ring purposes in case of emergency. 1.1-t'is thought -that the first fleet of S hydroplane's a^U •unques£iqnably be launched by England.
