CHRISTCHURCH, Nov 22

The visit of Mr W. Henry, Secretary of the Life Saving Society, has created great enthusiasm , ; .n swimming circles. In the examinations conduced by Mr Henry G. E. Bilson and Miss B. Poulter gained the award of merit. The latter is the first lady to gain this distinction in N.ew Zealand. ' A centre of the Society has been formed in Christchurch with Mr K. Basset as Chairman and Mr Walter Johnson as Secretary.
