THE VETO BILL.
ißy Electric Telegraph — Copyngai.j LONDON, Nov. 21. In the House of Lords Lord Crewe moved the Veto Bill, which was read a second time. Lord Roberts withdrew his defence motion, Lord Crewe stating that he was unable to discuss it at the present juncture. Lord Lansdowne gave notice of his intention to move on Wednesday a series of resolutions dealing with the deadlock between the two Houses. REFERENDUM RESOLUTIONS. The resolutions favor a referen-du-o on matters of great gravity the Lords foregoing their right to reject or amend purely financial and money bills, the question of tacking to be settled by a joint committee of both Houses, the Speaker having the casting vote. , MEMBERS SALARIES. ' Li the House of Commons Mr Asquith, an reply to a question, said that he was not prepared to state the amount of member's salaries.
