The Pareora sailed for Napier on Saturday night with a full cargo of Blackball coal. Tho Mapourika from Wellington is expected this p*ternoon, and is to sail at 8 p m to-day. Captain Hansen has resigned f rom thp Annie Hill to tak s up ihe position of mate on the Torgauten. . - • ' . The Annie nil!, which sailed from Lyttelton at 5 o'clock on Monday evening for thirf port, evidently met with head winds outside, as she was ia sight from Lyttelton on Wednesday morning. At noon, however, she was about 30 "miles off, and could only just bo made out by the signalman. She is now ia change of Captain Wil I: ams, late of "the schooner Morning T'"ght. The Pukaki is due here on Wednesday and loads State and Brnnner coal and timber for Lyttelton. The Torgauteii left Picton on Saturday with a cargo of produce for Man* aku where she loads timber for Well' iogton. The Union Company's new cargo steamer Karitane arrived afe Porb chal aaeM on Saturday from Newcastle* she was formerly named ihe Cavalieand is a .screw steamer of 1376 tons gross and has a cargo capacity of over 2000 tons on a draught of 16£ ft.
