All present indications give, proirse that the Greymouth Trotting Clubs Spring •inefetiog to be held on Wednesday and Thursday will be very eucce^rul. Thfc weather; conditions yes^evdny appeared far from favorabfe but late la&t night! the gale appeared to have spent itself and thete is every; likelihood ot good weather for the meeting. The large fields ithat will fade the starter should result in excellent sport on both days and the improvements recently effected to the grounds will add to (the comfortand convenience of thb public generally. There will be a it'qtalisator on the grounds an innovation which is sure to meet with th? approbation of die patrons of the minting The first- race on both days starts afc 1 p.m. The various horses that ara competing ! have be|en training regularly for some time. ' Yesterday morning Security was worked and Brown Ribbon did'about three miles on th? track and went very fast at times. Enterprise and Prince Albert were also worked and appeared to b e going fairly well. Little Billy and Mountain m May. wero also out?. Comic Cuts was jogged round at about half pace and Fofsafcen Child was worked in the saddle. Federation did" about four miles in harness. Hje arrived on Saturday from Chris!!church. Lignit c and Discovery were also worked in harness.
