A meeting of the committee o! the Grey, mouth Jockey Club was held at tke Albion Hotel- Jasfc evening. PresentMessrs Petrie (chair), Ponsonby, Mackay, '» Smith, Geiseking, McCarthy, Walton. Tarrall. A report of the proceedings at tho club meeting regarding a question of disqualification and ownership was asked for. The information was ordered to be supplied.. . . Correspondence from tlie New Zealand Racing Conference' was read' and' coneiJered. The Stratford committee wrote stating that they had enquired into Mitchell's riding at their races and found that lie rode to win, but handled Ws horse bad'y. The Hampden Racing Club wrote asking to be allowed to change the name of their club td the .Murcheson Club, sis there was a Hampden in Otago and mistakes arose in consequence. Resolved to be. recommended to the Raging Conference. The Reefton Racing Club's dates w?re fixed and agreed to for December 26 and 27, and April 7 and 9. : The Kumara Racing Club notified thai their daye -"were for" Easter Monday and Tuesday. Tlie Westport Racing Club notified that they had fixed their racing days. B-it as Reefton pointed out that they were too close to their days Sit was resolved to ask Westportj to ppt. their dates back a couple of days. Tli e Nelson Club notified that thair dates were :fixedi<^v the 29th and; 30^ January. . - " The question of fixing the Greymouth dates will .be. fixed at ,a future meeting.
