He contended that such conduct unfitted McKenzie to hold office, and demanded an enquiry- McV Kcnzie admitted he sold the grass on the land, but spent three thousand in improvements. He considered he had a right to escape losses, lie desired a full enquiry. Subsequently the Premier gave notice of his intention to move to-day for appointment of a committee to enquire into the charges against McKenzie. Sydnby, Jan. 28. Admiral Fanshawe has arranged a cruise of the Squadron in New Zealand waters. The Eoyal Arthur vrith the Admiral aboard, accompauied by the Riugarooma, Phoebe and Karrakatta, will leave Sydney on February 18th. and proceed to the Bay of Islands, arriving there on 28th. There they will be joined by tlie warships in New Zealand waters. Exercises will be carried out. The whole squadron will be present at the regatta at Auckland on. March 4th and oth, leaving for "Wellington on the 7tli and remaining there until the 18th. A visit will be paid at Lyttelton, lasting to the 26th. Admiral Fansliawe's squadron will be due back iv Sydney ou April Ist.
