(per press association)"". Nelson, Jan 28. The cricket match was resumed today in unpleasant weather. Nelson's second innings closed for 77,- Duncan being being top scorer with 15, Bird next with 11. Broad, the Nelson captain, went in the seventh and carried his bab out for 7. Burnup made a fine average of ten wickets for 14. ! Thompson, the professional, secured 3 for 12. An exhibition match followed, the Englishmen going to the wickets. Nelson made ten changes- in the bowling. Kinzett at one stage had three wickets for 1, but the analysis at the close stood three for 19— -McFarlane 2 forltf. The Eoglishmen lost 6 wickets for 120. .
The visitors left by rail for Motup^ko and leave at 4 to-morrow morning by coach for Reefton, where they should arrive at night. The weather is wet and very cold. The rain stopped the play more than once to-day.
