The Westralia Water-supply
(PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) (BY ELBOTBIO TEIiEGBAPH -COPyRIOTH.) (Received 1 10 a.m.) Coolgardie, Jan 25. The great scheme for supplying the goldfields with water is an accomplished fact. Saturday was a red letter day. Th 6 previous day two special trains conveyed Sir John Forrest, Messrs Lyne, Reid and other Federal me»feers and a large number of Ti-itors from Perth. The influx was so great that many had to sleep in the tiain pv tents. The town was gaily decorated and their was much enthusiasm. Sir John and Lady Forrest's carriage was drawn by 24 schoolboys, headed by an imposing procession. The ceiemony of turning the water at the various centres were performed by Lady Forrest, the mayoresses of Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie, Boulder City and into the great dam by Sir John Forrest. The water is now everywhere abundant in the townships for ninepence per hundred gallons instead of as previously 3s 6d and upwards per hundred for condensed water.
