A meeting of the board was held last evening. Present — The Chairman (W R Kettle), Messrs Kerr, Math, eson, Campbell, Sheedy and Galnneas. ; The minutes of the previous meeting weie read and confirmed and the outward correspondence read and approved of. From the overseer staling that the work of blasting the stones at the entrance to the rlvar was completed. The railway line on the north side of the river, the sheep walk and landing place at the cattle wharf wanted reapirs. Received and referred to the ohalrman and Mr Sheedy for report. From the harbormaster stating that there was 20 ft of water on the bar, and enumerating the damage done by \ the fl 3ood. In some parts of the river the water had deepened ; but In others It waß less. The necessary repairs were ordered to be proceeded with. The matter of payment to men on the tag was explained by the harbormaster. He said the men only worked 10 hours, as they hai thair watch below. Received. Accounts amounting to L3ll were passed for payment.
