At "Victoria and Natawa, tbe embankments are giving; way, and a portion of tKejNa-pler-Palnierston road has been washed away. 'It is believed -there are heivy slips on the gorge line, but there hi no possibility of communication here Wyet. Heavy landslips haye-oocurrtd throughout ttia district. The -WobclvllW'Gorga line is blocked by slips. It is estimated that 15,000 tons of, earthwork; have been dislodged! The toad has also been blocked by three Blips. Wanganui, February 13. The heaviest flood ever known at Wanganui came down the river this morning, Tanpo is partly submerged. Some punts and many boats were washed to sea. Weh^gton; February 13. It has been raining here heavily all day. The Railway Commissioners have received a telegram to the effeat that apportion of the railway line at Bonnie Glen, near Turakiua, on the Palmerston-Wau-ganui line; had been washed away by the flood' and' through' traffic impeded, ;;but it was expected that an interchange of.passengers would be effected by the up and down trains if the dray road is passable.
