Kaiserhof, Berlin, on Mondays wheH ' some startling results were producecß One subject in a hypnotic conditiol ( showed that it is not always possible til suggest to a hypnotised person to perforn acts which are absolutely contrary to thai person's natural inclinations. The sutfl ject in question was a sportman who wal successfully made to believe that he wal present at ahorse race at which he hal backed the winning horse, but when it wal suggested to him that he should divide hil winnings he woke with a start. ■
